Our CHC53315 - Diploma of Mental Health comprises 20 units (15 core units and 5 elective units) and 160 hours of supervised work placement completed within 12 months. You will learn the high level specialist knowledge, skills and competencies especially in regard to laws affecting people with mental health issues, the range of services available to them and health issues related to mental health.

All students are required to complete written assessments in their own time your trainer will advise you of due dates.
Students applying for this qualification will need to show academic suitability. This can be done by providing a copy of a Senior Secondary Certificate of Education (year 12 certificate), or evidence of successful completion of an Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) Certificate IV or higher qualification (where the language of instruction is English). You will be required to undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy indicator prior to commencement of the course. This allows our trainers to identify any strengths and where additional support may be required. Students will also be required to have access to a computer and an internet connection to undertake their study and assessment.
