Our CHC33015 - Certificate III in Individual Support - DISABILITY specialisation comprises 13 units (7 core units and 6 elective units) completed within 12 months. You will learn how to provide support to individuals who may require support due to disability in community and/or residential settings. Workers provide person-centred support based on individualised care plans.
Our CHC33015 - Certificate III in Individual Support - DISABILITY specialisation is designed for people wishing to develop the skills and knowledge required to become an Individual Support worker. Our elective units are carefully selected to reflect real-life community needs.
The number of Aged and Disabled Carers grew very strongly over the past 5 years and is expected to grow very strongly over the next 5 years: from 163,700 in 2017 to 241,200 by 2022. If you live in Queensland, you may be eligible to access funding through the Certificate 3 Guarantee program which is funded through the Department of Education, Small Business and Training (Queensland Government).
With Jigsaw’s self-paced learning, you will be allocated a trainer who will be in regular contact and assist you through your studies. Trainers also hold online sessions with other students or individually for teaching, role plays and more.
The course is delivered via our online learning portal and you receive access to your all learning and assessment materials online.
The duration of your course will be approximately 12 months.
You will be supported by your trainer who is available to answer any questions you have via email or phone call.
In addition to the online learning workshops and role plays, learners will be required to work with clients during a 120 hour vocational work placement which learners are required to source themselves.
Please note students will be required to obtain a police check and yellow card prior to vocational placement. This is an additional cost and will be required to obtain employment in the industry. Students undertaking vocational placement may also be required to complete a First Aid course with an external provider at their own expense.
Hard copy materials can be provided at a cost. Please note that printed materials are sourced externally and students will be charged at the rate that Jigsaw has been quoted to produce these. The quote will be provided to the student and expected to paid for prior to the print being ordered.
All students are required to complete written assessments in their own time your trainer will advise you of due dates.

Students are required to undertake a placement as part of this course which may require obtaining a Police Check and/or Working with Children Check. Fees applicable for this are paid by the student and as of October 2019 is $53.00. A Working with Children Check may cost up to $92.30.
Jigsaw Training Group (RTO #32423) is a Prequalified Supplier of the CHC33015 - Certificate III in Individual Support. We are able to offer eligible students funded places under the Queensland Government's Certificate 3 Guarantee Program.
Each student funded under the Certificate 3 Guarantee Program is required to pay a co-contribution fee towards their qualification. The student co-contribution for the all specialisations in the CHC31105 Certificate III in Individual Support is $50.00 for non- concessional students and $20 for concessional students. This equates to $3.84 per unit of competency for non-concessional student and $1.53 for concessional students. Please note that if additional units are completed in order to obtain additional multiple specialisations these units attract an additional $200.00 per unit. Students are required to undertake a placement as part of this course which may require obtaining a Police Check and/or Working with Children Check.
